It’s that time of year again…temps drop and it’s time to say goodbye for good to warm-weather fashion. I have to say this prospect has me pretty excited. There is something about this season that has me wanting to sip hot chocolate by a fire place all wrapped up in my blanket. And even though I never actually get to do this because, well, life, I am always the first to bust out my favorite blanket scarves and hats as my version of snuggling by the fire.
This year, of course, is different because we have a new little person to introduce to my favorite season and even more importantly, to snow. I remember vividly looking out the window with K talking about the white fluffy stuff falling from the sky. I remember how every time he saw a huge mountain of snow he would scream and point out of excitement. And in some ways I think I took these moments of pure wonder for granted, not realizing as he gets older there will not be as many firsts, he will not meet the snow with wonder or smile from ear to ear when he sees the crystals falling from the sky. I want to make a point to experience this winter through the eyes of my children and remember the times when life was so new and full of the unexpected.
So, in true me fashion, I have to get the perfect accessories to go along with our winter wonderland prepping. I love the sight of my little guys all bundled up like Randy on A Christmas Story even though I’m sure they will curse me when they are older. For now at least, they oblige my fits of fashion and comply. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite snuggly cold-weather accessories for the whole family below. Happy bundling!
For Her-
We both love a nice blanket scarf to snuggle into when it gets cold out. This one is old, but I love this one and this one!
I will forever live in blanket scarves, but I felt like this winter, I needed to break out of my plaid routine, so I’m all about ushering in the age of the graphic scarf. This one is from a little boutique in Galena, IL, but I also love this one and this one and this quirky one.
I’m loving the fuzzy look of this faux fur infinity scarf[similar here]for something a little dressier…coveting this one and this one too.
